My room at the Marriott Circular Quay in Sydney faces east with a view of the Sydney Opera House - so I have a magnificent sunrise view at 6 am. I'm up early every day. A long morning walk in the Royal Botanic Gardens which are absolutely beautiful. The highlight of the walk were the trees full of bats hanging upside down from the tops of the trees - fascinating. Beautiful view of the Opera House and city from the point.
Then a bus ride out to Bondi Beach - with many, many "surfer boys" - great sites!!!! The beach was beautiful too! (:-)))
Rode the Monorail around the city loop.
But the highlight of the day was the Sydney Harbor Bridge Climb. We left in late afternoon and reached the top of the bridge just as the sun started to set. It was magnificent. The climb wasn't all that hard but the views from the top were magnificent. We got to see all of the city lights come on and they took our pictures with the city lit up from the top of the bridge. A true highlight
Moe gave me a journal when I retired from Ingersoll Rand. The front of it has "Embrace the Journey". I'm off to a great start on this journey - so memorable.
