Last day in Sydney - slept late - I think I have finally adjusted to the time as I didn't wake up at 2 or 3 am!!!
Went to the waterfront and took a Captain Cook Harbor Tour to many sites around the harbor - great trip and interesting way to see the city. Saw where Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe live too!
After the harbour cruise, I went back through the Royal Botanic Gardens for another look - saw many more things. This garden has the most intriguing scents throughout, and I'm not one who can smell that well. Saw Mrs. McQuarie's Chair which is carved into stone - a huge tourist attraction in the garden but not that impressive.
Walked through the center of Sydney to Oxford Street - this is where the PLU's are. Had coffee and a snack and then took a city bus back to the waterfront. Got a ticket on the Sydney Ferry system to go to Manly. A fun ferry ride - and went to Manly Beach. This beach and Bondi Beach are renown as two of the best beaches in all of Australia. Nice "sightings"!
Returned to the hotel in the late afternoon to unwind and pack up for my trip tomorrow to Singapore. (Leslie - tell Lauren that I saw Dora in Sydney - of course it was on TV, but nonetheless, I did happen to see her while I was here!).
I'm interested to experience Singapore Airlines tomorrow as they are known to be one of the best airlines in the world. I was able to preorder my meal with their "Book the Cook" program - we'll see if they get it right!!!
Sydney has been fabulous - glad I experienced it. Next time, I'll have to explore other parts of Australia - there is so much more of it.
